Since 1995, Marion Community School of the Arts (CSA) has been a cornerstone of arts education and enrichment in Marion, Indiana. What began with just six art classes in the basement of St. John Lutheran Church has grown into a thriving organization offering over 200 classes in visual arts, performing arts, and culinary arts at its three-story downtown facility.

In 2022, CSA expanded to include CSA Civic Theatre, preserving 70 years of community theatre in Grant County. This program now produces five to six productions annually, featuring volunteer actors, directors, and crew members. Additionally, CSA Theatre Company, a pre-professional training program for students aged 8-18, offers instruction in acting, dance, voice, and technical theatre, while providing free performances to over 3,000 local students each year through the Student Performance Series.

CSA is committed to accessibility, awarding up to $15,000 annually in scholarships based on financial need and talent. The CSA Arts Academy, a partnership with Marion Community Schools, provides serious arts students in grades 7-12 a flexible academic schedule to accommodate intensive arts training.

From dance and visual arts to theatre, music, and culinary arts, CSA continues to inspire creativity, ignite potential, and build community through the arts.
